Covers for Tuned Percussion

Each cover is tailor-made to the exact specifications of your instrument and gives superb protection to the note-bars, resonators and upper frame. There are a variety of options with all of our tuned percussion instrument covers.

Xylophones (XY30, XY35, XY40)
Mushroom Covers manufacture covers for all makes and sizes of xylophone
• 3 octaves
• 3.5 octaves
• 4 octaves
• A carry bag for 2.5 and 3 octaves table-top models (XYB)

All xylophone covers have a side drop of 35.5cm (14”) although this can be altered to a length of your choice.

Table-top Xylophone bags (XYB)

A range of bags for any size or make of table-top xylophone. The padded bag with a strong zip is an ideal way to transport your instrument.

Vibraphones (VB30 VB40)
Mushroom Covers manufacture covers for all makes and sizes of vibraphone–
• 3 octaves
• 4 octaves

All vibraphone covers have a side drop of 56cm (22”) although this can be altered to a length of your choice.

 

Marimbas (MB40 MB43 MB45 MB50)
Mushroom Covers manufacture covers for all makes and sizes of marimba–
• 1.5 & 2 octaves (bass marimbas)
• 3 octaves
• 4 octaves
• 4.3 octaves
• 4.5 octaves
• 5 octaves
All marimba covers have a side drop of 61cm (24”) although this can be altered to a length of your choice.

A note about our tuned percussion covers

Mushroom does not adopt a 'one size fits all' policy to its covers, so it is important to be specific about make and model of your instrument when choosing a cover. e.g. Adams XS2HV40

Codes (XY35, VB30 etc.)are given to groups of instruments for pricing only.

Tubular Bells (TBC)
Mushroom Covers’ Tubular bells covers are specially shaped to protect the complete frame and bells.

The full drop gives total protection yet allows easy transportation. A sturdy zip is added to one side to make putting on / taking off the cover simple.
Tubular Bells ‘Tubes’ bag (TBT)
A simple padded tube for loose tubular bells. The ‘Tubes’ are especially good for extra long bass bells. Any diameter size or length of bag is available at your choice.

Tubular Bells ‘Roll-up’ bags (TBR)
Moving or storing loose tubular bells can be a problem. Mushroom has the answer to that by making ‘roll-up’ bags for tubular bells. These can accommodate any number of single bells (at your choice) or a full set in individual sleeves.

Each bell is protected to prevent damage and the ‘roll-up’ offers an effective way to keep all your most used bells together in one handy bag e.g. an octave set for Tchaikovsky’s ‘1812 Overture’
(Single bag is not recommended for complete sets of bells over 1” in diameter)

Pedal Glockenspiels (PGL)
Covers for all makes and sizes of pedal glockenspiel–
• 3 octaves
• 3.5 octaves

All glockenspiel covers have a side drop of 35.5cm (14”) although this can be altered to a length of your choice.

Glockenspiel Case covers (PGC)
This is a new line for Mushroom Covers, as many people now want to protect their glockenspiel cases especially if it has a highly polished surface.

The Glockenspiel case cover is a zipped bag which allows the case’s carrying handle to be used easily and safely.
